Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager

Reports to: Business Support Manager

This is an opportunity to join a market leader within it's Industry.

To provide professional health safety and environmental advice with a proactive drive to deliver the management of all SQE issues across the company whilst working within the Company's key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities includes but not limited to:-
.To ensure compliance through a "hands on" approach with the Divisional teams in maintaining ISO 9001 and acquiring ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001
.Liaising with external auditors during OHSAS18001:2007; ISO14001:2004 and ISO9001:2008 assessments and enforcing authorities visits as necessary.
.Ensure all Auditing teams are adequately resourced, trained and compliant.
.Commercial and financial awareness in conjunction with SQE issues.
.Production and distribution of Safety Material including Tool Box Talks, Safety Bulletins, Alerts, Provide guidance on Risk Assessments, Method statements e and Safe Systems of work.
.SQE Management Safety Tours.
.Additional workplace monitoring.
.Customer and supplier questionnaire performance.
.Identification of SQE Training needs
.Accident and Incident investigation and reporting
.Providing accurate SQE Reports for the Monthly Board Meetings
.To maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and assist in the development and management of the strategy to obtain ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001
.Maintains and improves the Business Procedures, liaises with external accreditation bodies and ensures compliance throughout the business
.To drive the delivery of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
.Manages and coordinates health and safety policy to ensure company complies or exceeds all statutory or legal obligations.
.To ensure the Company Audit processes and Audit team are fully compliant and up to date.
.Keep regular contact with customers and suppliers to ensure standards and compliance are maintained.
.Ensure regular communications to Divisions regarding SQE performance, objectives, targets and the company's activities.
.Compile reports on performance and SQE issues when requested by the Board of Directors.
.Carry out staff safety briefings and workshops.
.Any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post.

Essential background required:

.NEBOSH Certificate
.Tech IOSH
.A Recognised Environmental Qualification
.Good understanding of BSI standards, including OHSAS18001:2007; ISO14001:2004 and ISO9001
.Trained Internal Auditor
