Senior Consenting Manager, Edinburgh U.K


About you

We are looking for a high calibre professional to lead and manage consenting and environmental issues for the construction of offshore wind farm projects in the UK (North Sea).

You'll take charge of the strategic management of consents and environmental issues for large (utility scale) offshore wind farm developments, and help this international company shape their UK renewable portfolio.

You're likely to have a background in renewables gained with a professional services company, consulting firm, renewable developer or possibly a Government agency, either way, you'll know how transfer your skills effectively and be keen to take responsibility for multi million £, high profile projects.

One of the worlds leading renewable energy generation firms, developing onshore and offshore wind energy assets around the world, they have a great reputation for innovation and career development, currently they are building their UK based professional team with offices in Edinburgh.

This a critical role in the organisation and it's the perfect time for someone to really make their mark in the UK renewable energy sector.


The role covers all areas of the consening and planning process, including budget reposibility plus management of the consents team and relevant project teams.

In this role you'll relish working within an international team helping the UK achieve sustainable energy supplies for future generations.

Experience required

We are looking for an enthisiastic professional with a strong academic record  and solid experience in the renewable sector, probably a minumum of 5 years commercial experience post graduate/masters, with specific exposure to the planning / consenting process.

You'll need well developed management skills too and the ability to work in a  high calibre international team.

As this is an international environment additional language skills are useful.
Working experience in the UK is strongly preferred, particularly familiarity with UK legal requirements for consenting /planning.
