Job Title: Senior Engineer – Mechanical Systems

Location: Dublin/Glasgow/Ferrybridge/Perth

Salary: Up to £65,500/circa €76,250 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + annual bonus

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you’ll act as the technical authority for offshore wind and provide technical leadership when managing the medium to long term integrity of high risk operational assets and new build projects, where there is a potential impact on safety; environmental; and the commercial operation of the business.

The role will include the approval and on-going management of relevant engineering and design standards, ensuring assets comply with engineering legislation and standards; the review and approval of engineering designs for high risk new build assets; and provision of specialist engineering support and advice to asset operators and project teams.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should be a chartered engineer and a member of the engineering council, with demonstrable technical knowledge and experience within this field. You’ll have an understanding of plant operation along with associated risk controls, and knowledge of engineering legislation and industry good practice.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be a essential in order to liaise and influence at all levels across the organisation, and provide clear and concise information, especially in high pressure external situations.

You’ll have a strong commercial understanding and a firm grasp of the context and implications of engineering activities and decisions.
