To work in the Coastal and Marine Advisory Group part of the Environmental Business Line, in order to increase capacity for taking forward opportunities, leads, proposals, projects and business development within this key environmental area of excellence. Directly working with the sector lead and advice group director for coastal and marine management you will be responsible for comprehensively project managing small to large projects within the port, dredging, coastal marine sectors and including general waters edge infrastructure projects such as energy and industry.
The work will involve management/direction of projects of various sizes including (potentially) energy including nuclear new builds, port expansion works, channel deepening and dredging schemes, and other similar developments at the coast and offshore.
Responsibilities will include:
- To project manage the delivery of small, medium and large scale coastal and offshore projects and project teams on their own or under the direction of a Project Director.
- To provide technical guidance and project direction when appropriate.
- To provide senior level support, as required, to the environment team located in centres around the UK and other area teams where specialism dictates.
It will be essential for the candidate to demonstrate a good network and knowledge of the coastal and marine market sector. Potential opportunities to generate new work will be pursued through prior agreement with the Advice Group Director and Sector Business Development Director
