First Base Employment is currently recruiting for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join their client to work on an increasing number of exciting projects. The role will require the candidate to work with dedication and ingenuity and will require flexibility. Your hard work will be equally rewarded as such to reflect the individual skill set and efforts of the successful candidate.

Our client is a rapidly expanding company offering bespoke consultancy and contracting services to a wide range of blue chip clients, from specialist to international developers, main contractors, land owners and local authorities.

The role will provide support and technical input on wide-ranging multi-disciplinary contracting and consultancy projects.

The office and site based job will include:

Management of small projects;
Carrying out investigations and small remediation projects;
Production of reports, method statements and risk assessments;
Engineering on live contracts.

The ideal candidate will have:

A relevant degree and post graduate experience;
Several years experience working as an engineer
Up-to-date knowledge of contamination risk assessment, waste classification, investigation and remediation techniques;
Will have or is working towards Chartership status;
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Be willing to work away from home for short periods.

The successful candidate would also be encouraged to identify potential new clients and opportunities that the company could explore further.
