Our Client a Global name in business critical engineering solutions within the Nuclear energy sector are currently looking to recruit for a Senior Fire Engineer.The role looks after developing the expertise, strategy and solutions within the Fire strategy and solution business. An interest in or experience of working in the nuclear industry will be a particular advantage.Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for providing fire safety strategies and solutions. - Preparation of strategy reports, review of designs, development of fire engineering solutions- Liaison with other disciplines within the design team on fire safety related matters such as:- Means of escape, Fire alarm and detection systems, Construction, Fire suppression systems, Fire modelling, Fire brigade access and facilities.You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.Key Requirements:- Ideally an appropriate fire engineering qualification or science degree with proven experience of working as a fire engineer- Candidates from other backgrounds or with different technical qualifications will also be considered provided that they can demonstrate a strong technical ability and experience- The applicant should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a fire strategy role within a design team environment. - Experience in working in the nuclear industry of safety critical applications will be particularly advantageous- The role requires an individual who is self motivated with good communication skills and able to work individually, and as a team member to meet project deadlines- An ability to use CAD software is an essential and the ability to use other computer simulation packages would be considered as advantageous.
