An experienced Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical Engineer is needed to work directly under the Technical Director within a well-respected consultancy based in Manchester. You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of medium to large scale Building and Transportation schemes for the private and public sector.

Once feet are under the table, you will be required to design, implement and supervise ground investigation, produce Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental interpretive reports, risk assessments and remedial strategies etc. You will have the chance to build and develop your own team whilst helping grow the department in Manchester.

Currently you must be able to produce phase 1 desk top studies, manage site investigation activities (Inc Trial Pitting, Gas Monitoring etc.) Whilst independently write Interpretive and factual reports. Also, being experienced within remediation of contaminated land is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have:
*Degree in a relevant environmental science/engineering discipline and have a
*Minimum of 2 year's practical experience within a UK consultancy.
*Experience and understanding of current UK legislation for contaminated land
*Ability to liaise and help the geotechnical and field engineers. Phase I, II and III - Report writing; peer review and technical report checking skills
*Planning, managing and delivering projects
