Our client is a geotechnical and environmental site investigation consultancy that has been established for over 30 years. They are now looking for a Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant to join their team in Berkshire.

The successful candidate would ideally have an MSc or BSc in an Environmental Subject, Chartered or nearly chartered and have a minimum of 10 year's experience in contaminated land investigation. Must have a strong technical background in the investigation, remediation and validation of contaminated land, site specific risk assessments, CLEA and other risk models, ground water contamination, P20 assessments, etc. Experience and understanding of current UK legislation, ability to manage people and demonstrate team leadership. Report writing, peer review and technical report checking skills.

Duties:
Providing environmental expertise and advice to the group
Advising and liaising with clients
Management and mentoring of junior staff
Planning, managing and delivering projects
Reviewing, writing and sign off technical reports
Keeping the group advised on changes in environmental legislation
Liaison with contaminated land offices, environment agency, etc

Must hold a full drivers licence
