SUMMARY

A protection & Control Engineer required for a senior role within a leading maintenance and construction service provider to the power, transmission and distribution market.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be working as part of a wider Design and Build team to deliver cost effective and functional designs for installation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience of contracts in the UK DNOs or National Grid Companies (Scottish Power, EDF Energy etc.),  understanding of protection scheme designs (AC & DC Circuit Diagrams, Gas &Connection Diagrams),Front End Design Proposal, be familiar with relevant industrial standards: EN,BS,TPS and NGTS governing the UK industry; the ability to interpret client specifications  from tender documents and calculation of protection settings as well as the ability to programme relay logic. The following would be beneficial: AutoCAD design package experience, PLS programming for Alstom Relays.
