Job Title: Stakeholder Engagement Manager
Location: Glasgow, Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen
Salary: £ 31,000 - £45,000 plus car/car allowance and bonus
Permanent | Flexible working | 37 hours per week
You’ll be working on the Transmission Stakeholder Engagement Delivery Plan which supports the development and operation of SHE Transmission’s grid network. This will see you developing, implementing and maintaining the necessary business processes, practices and behaviours to deliver the plan, and ensure all staff are trained in these key business practices.
The Stakeholder Engagement Manager is also required to undertake cross-business co-ordination and leadership within SHE Transmission. You’ll also represent SHE Transmission with stakeholders and industry specialist groups (for example, with Ofgem, other network licensees, the range of business customers, communities and stakeholders, and best practice forum).
In addition, you’ll identify the existing engagement relationships with key customers and stakeholders, maintain a GDPR-compliant database of customers and stakeholders, research ‘best practice’ in the delivery of stakeholder engagement from comparable industrial sectors and public and government bodies, maintain a working knowledge of best practice, proposing and adopting new practices, challenge the suitability and appropriateness of existing engagement delivery approaches and the effectiveness in satisfying current and future business requirements, identify the business priority outcomes for the year ahead, and the engagement necessary to achieve those outcomes, develop and consult upon and rollout an annual Stakeholder Engagement Delivery Plan, ensure the effective implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Delivery Plan, develop and maintain a set of Engagement Methodologies, participate in and contribute to the SSEN Stakeholder Engagement Sub-Committee of the Networks Management Committee and achieve AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard accreditation for the Stakeholder Engagement Delivery Plan.
Your Skills and Experience
To perform this role, we would be looking for you to have a Degree level qualification (or relevant experience), be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of stakeholder engagement, have experience of developing, implementing and maintaining engagement delivery plans and underlying policies, including securing support and associated approval.
You’ll also have an understanding of the utility sector (with preference for energy networks) and the contribution of SHE Transmission, organisational skills, including events organisation and use of social media tools, be a proficient user of Microsoft Office and social media platforms and hold a full UK driving licence.

Transmission operates under licence as Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc, responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own and maintain the 132kV, 275kV and 400kV electricity transmission network in our licence area. Our network comprises of underground cables, overhead wooden poles, steel towers and electricity substations, and it extends over a quarter of the UK land mass across some of its most challenging terrain.
