This position requires strong communication and adult teaching skills, base knowledge of the Solar PV market, technical knowledge of solar PV systems, and an understanding of electrical, construction, and Solar PV system regulations. The trainer must have a customer centric service approach to training with an ability to effectively communicate and relate to solar industry professionals.
Responsibilities:
Delivery of face to face instructor led training curriculum.
Delivery of distance learning curriculum (webinars, webcasts).
Develop new and updated training content for written training materials such as bulletin, job aides, classroom activities, and training manuals.
Collaborate in curriculum and course development and updates.
Assist in operational aspects of training deployment.
Collaborate in developing new training programs.
May work with Marketing to support media development and align company image and expectations.
Requirements:
Experience with adult based learning methodologies and adult training a must.
Knowledge of instructional design principles and experience in learning content development.
Experience in the solar PV industry.
Knowledge on local solar energy incentive programs (Feed-in-Tariff).
Knowledge of local construction and electrical codes.
Strong technical capabilities.
Strong working knowledge of the UK wiring regulations.
Strong teaching presence and ability to understand and relate to adult learners.
Experience working with licensed contractors.
Ability and proven experience to think creatively, learn and develop innovative solutions for customer problems.
Ability to work in a fast paced, start up environment; adaptable in dynamic and difficult situations.
Knowledge of policies on business ethics, and safety.
Exceptional communication skills: written and verbal.
Tact and discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive data.
Proactively addresses issues, problem solver that takes initiative.
Flexibility in work hours and ability to assume additional responsibilities as needed.
