Our client is a specialist contractor with over 100 years of experience working throughout the United States. This role is within one of the main subsidiaries who specialise in Wind Power and other renewable energy sources. Our client is a market leader and offers a fantastic benefits package.

The role

We are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager with Wind experience. This specific project is onshore but our client will consider offshore experience.

You will be responsible for the preparation of schedules and the management of the cost / deadlines throughout the lifecycle of the development. There is an electrical bias to this role so experience of Transmission or Substation project management is required.

Duties:

• Preparation of construction schedules
• Submitting RFI's to clients
• Co-ordinating and managing collaboration between all parties involved on the Project
• Submitting and managing key deliverables and keeping the client informed at all times
• Preparing and delivering weekly and monthly progress reports
• Reviewing job costs versus budgets
• Liaise and report to management team
• Focus on the client ensure there is an understanding of the client's culture, people and processes
• Provide guidance for estimators during the estimation process

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as an Electrical Project Manager ideally with Transmission and Substation working experience
• Substantial experience working on Wind farm developments
• Knowledge and experience of electric energy distribution and or sub transmission
• Working experience of Microsoft Project and or Primavera
• Knowledge of the estimating process regarding US labor hours and equipment
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word is required
• Ability to be mobile to various locations and available to travel to project areas as project needs are required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is essential
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills and empathy required
