Job Title: Wind Operations Centre Team Leader
Salary: £41,500 – £50,500 depending on skills and experience + bonus
Permanent Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
Reporting to the Onshore Wind Operational Support Manager, you'll be responsible for the management, training and development for our team of Control Room Technicians providing 24/7 control, monitoring and safety support to SSE’s Wind Generation business. A key element of your role will be to ensure the team operates our Wind assets safely and effectively maintaining compliance with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules and the Operational Safety Rules. Your team will be responsible for operating the Wind assets to National Grid instructions, adhering to contractual terms, and always ensuring Grid Code compliance is maintained.
Other accountabilities include developing and improving our real-time delivery and performance practices, as well as the development of reporting and Key Performance Indicators to support the SSE Renewables’ business objectives. Developing the competence, training and authorisations of an agile workforce that can manage fluctuations in workload demand in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone who is educated to minimum HNC level in a technical discipline with knowledge and experience of control room operational practises, together with a solid understanding of compliance with safe systems of work processes including the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR’s) and the Operational Safety Rules (OSR’S) and the legislative requirements for the UK and ROI. In conjunction with this you'll have strong interpersonal skills together with demonstrable understanding and experience of business safety, operational management requirements, process system development and implementation.
