KPMG has announced the appointment of Adrian Scholtz to lead renewable energy corporate finance activities in the UK and Germany. Formerly chief executive officer of Green Penninsula, a renewables advisory firm, Mr Scholtz has worked in the renewable energy sector for seven years.
Renewable Energy Holdings, the AIM quoted investor and operator of renewable energy has announced that Paris Mouratoglou, chairman of EDF Energies Nouvelles, will join its board as a non-executive director this month.
In the Channel Islands, Professor Nick Day has been appointed to Guernsey’s Renewable Energy Commission. Professor Day recently retired as Professor in Epidemiology at the University of Cambridge and brings to the Commission a considerable knowledge of the renewable energy opportunities in Guernsey.

EPV Solar, a thin-film photovoltaic module developer and manufacturer headquartered in New Jersey, announced the appointment of TJ Glauthier to its Board of Directors this month. Mr. Glauthier served as Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Dept. of Energy from 1999 to 2001.
Good Energies, a leading global investor in renewable energy, also announced the appointment of Hugh Frater as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Good Energies, Mr. Frater was a Founding Partner and member of the Management Committee at BlackRock, Inc.

The Federal Government announced the appointment of Ms Louise Hand as Australia’s new Ambassador for Climate Change this month. Ms Hand most recently served as Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
The role of Australia’s Ambassador for Climate Change is to lead Australian negotiations within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and to head up the International Division of the Department of Climate Change.
