Acciona is a global pioneer in contributing to sustainable worldwide development through its main lines of business: development and management of infrastructure and real estate projects, provision of transport, urban and environmental services, and development and operation of renewable energies.

Acciona seeks seasoned professionals to assist in the development of utility-scale wind power and solar PV projects (regionally specific). This position reports to the regional development leader. This senior project management position is responsible for all aspects of delivery for multiple projects ensuring that these projects are successfully completed on time and on budget. The Development Director will focus on managing existing projects and on identifying and securing new development sites, identifying and evaluating project acquisition and investment opportunities and mentoring junior staff members.


Responsibilities:
Manage process to move projects from green field development to commercial, preconstruction stage
Ensure that timelines and budgets for Company’s existing projects are effectively managed
Coordinate feasibility studies and project development activities with cross functional resources, peers, and outside consultants to ensure project is progressing in accordance with schedule and all requirements are met
Negotiate land rights acquisition with landowners and address land use issues
Work with Environmental Manager to define, apply for and manage complex federal, state, and local environmental, construction, and related permits, and support community outreach efforts with all stakeholders
Work with Wind Resource staff to coordinate wind resource assessment activities
Work with Power Marketing and Transmission staff to manage interconnection studies, load flow analyses, and assist in PPA negotiations
Identify and communicate any project risks and develop mitigation strategies to all Acciona stakeholders
Identify and introduce potential joint venture partners, project acquisition opportunities, and green field opportunities
Identify and develop relationships, and effectively communicate with diverse group of external stakeholders including land owners, partners, government officials, technical experts, utilities, and consultants
Manage project budget, communicate any significant issues to manager and other key Acciona stakeholders
Prepare and present detailed project analysis to manager and other key Acciona stakeholders
Assume development responsibility for sub-regional areas within the relevant Development Region

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science , Engineering, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Previous experience in energy development, specifically wind energy and PV projects strongly preferred, Thorough understanding of deregulated electricity markets
Minimum 5-7 years in a relevant project management position with proven track record of building, leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team, preferably in the renewable energy or power generation industry
Excellent written and oral communications skills; the ability to develop clear and concise development plans and presentations regarding project status, timeline, risk assessment, and budget needs and performance
Ability to operate at a detailed level, to organize and multi-task, with a dedication to seeing projects through to completion
Ability to read and interpret topographic and other land use maps, preferably with some experience with Graphic Information Systems
Understanding of local community dynamics, with the ability to negotiate effectively with landowners, permitting authorities, utilities, and other stakeholders
Understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and contract implementation
Work well in and potentially be responsible for leading a team in a collaborative manner
Business and utility industry experience preferred
Willingness to travel (at least 50% of the time)

A leading energy investment company in Turkey, is looking for an experienced technical supervisor in its wind turbine service & maintenance team on a 6-12 months contract basis. The company is investing in renewable energy through its subsidiaries, and it is currently operating, constructing as well as developing several wind farm sites all around Turkey.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The successful candidate’s main duty will be to supervise and coach a team of technicians providing the service and maintenance activities of the wind parks in operation. The timely and effective execution of all the service and maintenance activities while ensuring the work safety of the team will be under his responsibility.

The main tasks under the Service and Maintenance function will include but not limited to the following:
Performing scheduled service and troubleshooting tasks for Wind Turbine Generators, on time and according to the established rules and procedures.
Taking the necessary preventive actions to optimize turbine efficiency and to minimize down time
Tracking the spare parts inventory and usage, making the timely replenishment requests
Executing all the above activities in compliance with the quality control procedures and work safety rules

CANDIDATE :
At least 5-10 years of overall experience with 2-4 years in wind park operations
Strong understanding of wind turbine technology and standards
Experience in service and maintenance of wind turbines; familiarity with GE turbines, specifically with GE 2.5MW model would be preferred
Good communication skills
Willingness to coach and share his know-how
Flexibility to reside in Turkey during the contract period and travel within the country

• Represent the Ecologic Institute at international conferences and workshops, high-level meetings and before professional bodies

Profile:
• Solid scientific training (PhD level preferred) in economics or comparable education with an economic focus
• Strong analytical skills and practical experience with quantitative economic methods and data analysis
• Work experience directly related to sustainable development and environmental policy
• Knowledge of relevant national, European and international policy processes is an advantage, especially in the areas of international trade, climate and energy
• Experience acquiring and managing research projects at European and national level
